HEB SHAREHOLDERS NAMED TO NH UNION LEADER’S 40 UNDER FORTY
Two staff members at HEB Engineers, Inc. (HEB) have been named to the New Hampshire Union Leader’s 40 Under Forty Class of 2026. Alison Harris, HEB’s Director of Resources, and Jordan Pike, PE, PTOE, Senior Transportation Engineer, are celebrated for excellence in their industries and their commitment to community involvement.
The Union Leader has honored the state’s most influential young professionals across all industries for 25 years. Although each recipient has achieved notable career success, their commitment to causes beyond the workplace plays a key role in earning this distinction. Ali and Jordan join 960 alumni of the 40 Under Forty program, including HEB President Jay Poulin and Vice President of Operations and Director of Civil Engineering Josh McAllister.
“We’re incredibly proud of Ali and Jordan for the impact they make at HEB and for the leadership they show in our communities,” said HEB President Jay Poulin. “While northern New Hampshire is sometimes overlooked as a hub for young professional growth, Ali and Jordan prove that meaningful career advancement and personal fulfillment can be achieved here in the North Country.”
Ali joined HEB in 2013, originally as a part of the Land Surveying Team. In 2018, she was elected to represent employees as the Employee Stock Ownership Plan Trustee and as a member of HEB’s Board of Directors. In 2022, Ali joined HEB’s Leadership Team and was promoted to Director of Administrative Resources before becoming a shareholder in 2024. In her current role, Ali assists with several aspects of operations, including accounting, project management, human resources, technical support, and quality control. Born and raised in Conway, NH, she serves as Secretary and a Board Member for Granite Backcountry Alliance.
When asked about her motivation to give back to the community, Ali credited growing up in Mt. Washington Valley and a desire to pay that kindness forward. “Thanks to local nonprofits and generous community members, I was able to experience opportunities throughout my childhood that I wouldn’t have had otherwise."
Jordan's career began in 2008 as a Traffic Engineer for the Connecticut Department of Transportation, where he was promoted to the Highway Design unit and directed multiple successful highway safety improvement projects. In 2021, Jordan relocated to the White Mountains and joined HEB to lead transportation services. In 2024, he became a shareholder of the firm.
Jordan stays busy mentoring college seniors on their capstone projects, helping the White Mountain Milers as a fundraiser and volunteer, and serving on the executive team for the Roundabout Committee through the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
“I’ve been fortunate to have great family, teachers, and mentors throughout my life and career,” Jordan said “My success is mostly the result of the patience and compassion of others.”
