HEB Cares! Gives Back to Angels & Elves

(L-R) Angels & Elves Team Leader Chris Gillette; HEB President Jay Poulin; Kiwanis Club Board Member and Head Elf Marie Lee; HEB Junior Civil Engineer Catie Gillette; HEB Junior Civil Engineer Claudia Damboise.
Every year, HEB Engineers invites staff to choose a local organization for the HEB Cares! annual end-of-year donation. This year’s recipient is Angels & Elves, coordinated by the Kiwanis Club of Mount Washington Valley.
Thanks to Angels & Elves, underserved families in the Valley can apply to be matched with “Angels” (donors) who purchase gifts based on their children’s needs and wish lists. The program delivers warm clothing, winter gear, and educational items, along with toys and other gifts. HEB’s $10,000 donation will help provide grocery cards to families and bridge the gap in food assistance over the holidays when schools are closed. Additionally, members of the HEB staff volunteered to wrap gifts for Angels & Elves earlier this month. HEB volunteers Claudia and Catie also boarded the Conway Scenic Railway to help children write letters to Santa Claus!
We’re grateful for the hard work of our staff, which allows us to carry on the HEB Cares! tradition. For more information about Angels & Elves, check out this recent article from the Conway Daily Sun.
