HEB was engaged by the City of Berlin to conduct a engineering study of providing municipal sewer service along Rt. 110 in the northwesterly part of the City. The project area is considered to be an area of growth potential for the City including the new 7,200-acre State Park and OHRV riding area and two (2) large subdivisions. The project included evaluating municipal sewer connection alternatives for approximately two (2) miles of proposed infrastructure northwesterly along Rt. 110 to serve existing and proposed developments. HEB provided topographical survey within the limits of work, geotechnical explorations including soil borings and ledge probes, environmental and historic reviews, along with preparation of preliminary design plans. An engineering study including preffered alternatives and costs estimates was presented to the City of Berlin in 2009 and project funding is currently being analyzed.
