HEB assisted the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust in acquiring two historic parcels
situated on the top of Foss Mountain in Eaton, NH, to annex to the town forest
there. The McKenzie properties
host part of the town’s famous blueberry fields (still being harvested today)
and a well-known rocky crag with views of Mount Washington, Mt. Chocorua, the
Ossipee Lakes and western Maine. With
some of the work contributed through HEB’s Technical Grant Program, the Survey
Group provided extensive boundary survey of the 50-acre holdings, deed research,
and a recordable boundary plan in an expedited manner that allowed the Land
Trust to complete its acquisition of the property and preserve it for public
use.
