HEB was engaged by the architect to provide structural design services for the new 1,000 student, $33 million high school and vocational center. The new 200,000 square foot facility is located on a ±60 acre site in Conway with a 4,450’ long access road. In addition to the regular classrooms and library contained in the 3-story building, the school has a full gymnasium and locker room facility, a 700-seat auditorium, cafeteria, and a separate wing to house one of New Hampshire’s Career and Technical Centers. HEB’s engineers worked with Banwell Architects and Lee Kennedy Construction Managers from concept to completion: design development, preliminary and final design, through construction observation, and HEB was responsible for all structural aspects of the building from the foundation up.
